I have tried a lot of mouthpieces with this horn. I keep going back to the PT-50 (The horn loses some of the inherent vibrance and color with the 50+, in my humble opinion) I also like a Conn Hellberg. Good Luck 8)

I've pretty much settled on the PT50 for my VMI 3302, which is basically the BBb equivalent of the PT-20. Tried a Conn Helleberg, B&S 52 (de-e-ep funnel shape that came with the horn.. actually a pretty good mpc), Hirsbrunner Tilz M1 (like a Schilke Helleberg II), and kept going back to the PT50. I did spend an afternoon with one of the Monette mouthpieces, and it was just a tad nicer than the PT50.

I've used the M1 a few times for solo stuff where I had to have a brighter sound for longer phrases. But, I just really like how it plays, sounds, & tunes when it's got the PT50.
