Marine Band - White House Correspondents Dinner

Post by katfey »

Who played last night? I saw two tuba bells and half a face!

Also what is the name of the piece that was played when the color guard came in?

Paul Mergen, Cameron Gates

Name of tune: National Emblem, the trio. Know it, learn it, live it.

I did not go on tour last year. You might have met John Cradler.

BTW, I always thought the trio sounded best on F cimbasso, or 2 small Yamaha F's. Don't laugh, it has happened.

National emblem with that tuba section would be FUN. Beverages afterwards too....(or before).
