Hello out there:

Has anyone come across "The Skyliner" by Henry (or Harry) Alford?

After searching for a recording, I've come to the conclusion that this is an obscure march. It looks like it was written to be played at circus march tempo.

Can anyone clue me in on a solid tempo for this march?

Actually, standard marches can be played at any tempo the conductor feels like playing it.

Harry L. Alford's name was not Henry but Harry, just like my name is Billy, not William. Any mail sent to my address to William goes back to the sender. Some letters have actually made ten trips to my mailbox before they understood that Bill's real name is Billy and not William. (I write, "No one named William lives here.")
