Samuel Jones' Tuba Concerto

Chris Olka will be playing the new Jones' concerto with the Seattle Symphony again on Thursday, May 18th. If you haven't heard it yet, I strongly encourage you to go. Here is the info:

im not going to make it to seattle....is therea recording of this concerto that anyone would reccomened?

There hasn't been a recording released yet. The concerto was only premiered in January.

WFMT in Chicago just broadcast the Seattle Symphony concert in which Chris Olka played the Samuel Jones Concerto.
It's a very audience-accessible piece, albeit with complex metric patterns.
Other tubists will undoubtedly take a stab at this fine piece.
