One of my students has a Besson Compensating euphonium, but we are trying to determine the model. It's the 3+1 configuration and has a very large bore. The serial number is 549832.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

So many people ask these questions, I keep the reference on my favourites. Too bad it's a saxophone site:

The serial number puts it @1974-75, about the time models were changing. So if it is a Besson with no model name, just the squarish italic block letters, cone shaped finger buttons and scalloped valve caps, it's probably a New Standard. If not, it may be an early Sov.
