Where to buy cleaning and maintenance supplies?

Folks - in preperation for cleaning my horn, I'd like to get a snake to clean it out in the tub. Problem is, all my local places will only sell them as parts of a kit. Next closest thing I could think of would be a soft brush snake that I could get at a gun store (10 gauge is almost the exact diameter of my tuning slides...) but before I went down that road I wanted to see if there was anywhere online I could get a snake designed for musical instruments, maybe even a bigger one designed for tuba and not have to buy the rest of the stuff that they try to bundle with those kits.

And after reading some of the recent posts about "which valve oil to use" it seems that I'm oiling my valves more often than others. Where have you guys found the cheapest Hetman online, and would you recommend light piston or standard piston for a Miraphone 1261?

I like to use HW Brass saver products. Their snakes don't have any exposed metal or wires so the inside brass won't be scratched. Here's their website:

Thanks alot Rick, Im going to look into that as well, this damn snake brought painful scratching noises to my ears, used it twice, not usin anything in this kit again, all metal basically (except ill still use the mouthpice brush)

PS the tuba set can be used for Baritone/Euphonium right? or is it seperate

o YA and where does WWBW ship from (im sure i read it somewhere).......I was wondering because of shipping charges here, and maybe it would be cheaper if I found a mouthpiece I like here but bought it from wwbw.

Many thanks Rick! That is just what I was looking for. I'll order it as soon as I can figure whether Hetman's #1,2 or 3 would be best for my Miraphone 1261.

I'm leaning towards one, cause that seems to be the standard on the board for more "modern" horns, where as #3 seems like it would work well on my York Master, which I had just used blue juice on up until now. But for the Miraphone, should I order some #1 or #2? I'm not sure really how "tight" my valves are. They seem mighty tight to me, but I only have that York Master to compare it to...

FWIW, Hetman's #1 would be my choice. I've used it for years and it's been just great. ALSO - I gave a bottle of Het-1 to another euphonium player who has a 50 year old horn. Hetmans #1 works well on his horn too.

Actually, the picture there only shows the tuba set - which has a longer snake so you can pull thru the leadpipe and valve set. The baritone set is similar, but a bit shorter snake.

Also, you can click on 'shop' on HW Products Brass saver link (see above), which will take you to Amazon page with brass saver products. But - I don't see the baritone set offered there.
