I just started working with a middle-school tuba student from Florida who is spending the summer here in Connecticut. Around here they announce audition pieces in July so that kids can work on them during the summer if they care to. Is that the case in Florida? If so, how can I find out what to put her to work on?

That is a pdf file of the 2006-2007 all-state requirements. The excersizes are from the Rubank Advanced method book. The student's county will probably also have an all-county band, and the audition pieces for that may or may not be posted online at that respective county's website.
