Hello - I'm currently attempting to expand my tuba CD collection. Aside from actually buying CDs I am also looking for some legal tuba mp3s. Can anyone point me in the direction of some? Perhaps a tubist that has some available for download on his/her website?

There are about 50 quartet recordings available for download from the All the King's Tubas website. Most are live or one-shot recordings, but still decent quality.

How does that work? I did this in low resolution since it is so long, divided it up into 10 parts and did those in medium resolution.

Mr Jacobs would get a kick out of seeing himself on a video Ipod, he was always into toys.

I am starting a new section on my forum for downloads. It is for members only, but membership is free. So far I have posted two tuba recordings. The first is Roger Bobo performing the Barat Introduction and Dance with The U.S. Coast Guard Band. The second tuba solo is Tucker Jolly performing a Mozart horn concerto on his F tuba (playing in the same octave as the F horn!!).

I'll be adding more over time. By the way, there will also be euphonium solos. The first one I added is a Russian euphonium soloist who played with the Leningrad Military District Band (before the Soviet Union broke up). I only knew his first name: Victor. His recording is of the Claude Smith Rondo (written for Doc Severinsen). He heard a recording of my playing it and transcribed the entire solo by ear, wrote it out for his band, and played it. All I had to do was buy the music!
