If you don't mind a band transcription of the Barnes, try Pat Sheridan's album, Storyteller.

Umm...there are a number of complete recordings of this for sale on CD. You can get them easily online or have a local store order your favorite for you.

Barnes-Concerto

It may be of interest that the Barnes Concerto was composed with both an orchestra and a Band Version at it inception, so neither version is a transcription.

Barnes also had a piano reduction done as well as soon as the work was completed so that tubists could have all three versions available all at once.

I premiered the Band Version in January of 1994 with the US Army Band at the Army band Tuba-Euphonium Conference. The Orchestral Version Premiere was in February of 1994 with the University of Kansas Symphony Orchestra. Both Premieres were with the composer conducting.

The Pat Sheridan recording is very fine indeed.
