Hello all!

For my 'day gig' I sell instruments at a retailer in the Toronto area (Ontario). I've just been told that we now have access to Perantucci mouthpieces. It's been a long while since I've played one. I used to play on a gold 44 and then a 50. I know those two very well and am getting to know the 50+ through a student of mine.

My question (and I'm going through other avenues for research as well so don't jump on me for getting you all to do my job for me ) is: What are the 5 or so top sellers or the best cross-section of mpcs that I can put in my pretty display case? I'd like to give my customers a good selection but the powers that be just don't want to invest in the whole line at once.

Uhhh, you forgot about the PT-36!

I'm thinking I ought to have at least one of the heavyweight mouthpieces too. I suppose a PT-50+ would be the logical one. Anyone agree/disagree?

Great mouthpieces....the only brand I've played on for almost my entire career. Started with the old Perantucci 1 (which became the PT-36). Used a PT-64 and PT-65 on the F, and use a PT-50+ now on my CC.

P.S. I've been getting PMs on and off asking if I attended Temple U or if I played in Busch Gardens.

I would add the PT-36, which is the original Perantucci mouthpiece (was a PT-1 in the old numbering) and is modeled on the Helleberg. That is the vanilla mouthpiece sold to folks who don't know what they want. I would replace the PT-44 in the above list with the PT-36 if I had to make a choice.

If you don't have many customers who play F, you could get by with just the PT-64.

So, my suggested list of 5 mouthpieces would be:

PT-88
PT-50
PT-48
PT-36
PT-64

The PT-50 would be the choice for the heavyweight version, if you want one of those in the display case.
