Just curious, whenever I am buzzing as a part of my normal warmup, I seem to get dead space in my pitch when I'm buzzing. It's always in the low register. I seem to find myself closing my teeth down and altering my embouchure. I was just wondering what to do to fill that dead space with actual pitch with a good embouchure.

Dead Space - Resistance?
Perhaps there is not enough resistance when you just blow the mouthpiece. The horn contributes some back pressure, which the MP alone does not have. I usually half-cover the end of the MP with my little finger (I vary the amount of coverage depending on how it responds). You could also try the BERP device, which helps in that regard.
