A MUSICAL duo arrived at Radcliffe Primary School on Thursday to treat youngsters to an opera with a difference.

Travelling by Tuba, run by Chris Cranham and Stewart Death, worked with children from the school in Coronation Road, introducing them to different styles of music before putting on a concert for family and friends at the end of the day.

The musical pair showcased some of their weird and wonderful collection of instruments, including the Swiss Alpine Horn, African Kudu Horns and Sousaphone.

The children even had the chance to try the instruments themselves.

Travelling by Tuba, sponsored by Manchester Airport, has been running for 18 years, and has toured the UK and countries across the world as part of its programmes for schools.
