Old Besson Eb

I recently come across an old Besson "Prototype A" tuba (c. 1918). It's not playable, however, it also seems to have been built backwards. The valve tuning slides are all on the back of the instrument and dig into my ribs when I tried it out. I'm thinking that it would make a good lawn/garden ornament - unless anyone thinks that it's rare enough to belong in a museum?
