I am looking for a euphonium stand . This will be used on a carpeted floor and the euph. most likely stay in it unless being used .
What's the best, most stable one out there ?

I just took a loook at the one Michael Bassichis recommend . Looks heavy duty !!! Has anyone else tried this or others ?

I'm old. I need a tuba stand to bear the whole weight so I can pull a chair up to it or, preferably, walk up to it while wearing a thin hollowbody guitar and play standing up.

Try the Baltimore Brass stand--works great! I use the low one for seated playing, but there is a tall one available to be used while standing. Very stable, durable, weighs the same as the K&M, cheaper, and sets up quicker.

WAIT! I just re-read your post: you are looking for something to actually cradle the horn as opposed to a rest. The K&M or BB stand support the weight, but are not designed for hands-free use. That function sounds like the Wenger Tuba-Tamers'---whole 'nother animal! I have seen them, but never used one. Sorry!

I use the K&M and own both the tuba and euph sizes. These are very sturdy and well-made. A bit pricey but how often do you buy one?

I've never tried the M&M so can't comment one way or the other.
