Andrew C. Fabian of the University of Cambridge in England and his colleagues made their discovery by examining the bright X-ray glow from gas that bathes the Perseus cluster of galaxies, 250 million light-years from Earth.

The ripples are separated by about 35,000 light-years—which produces a B-flat 57 octaves below middle C. The black hole's tone is far lower than the human ear can discern.
Huh? I wasn't aware that humans could hear X-rays. Ya learn something new every day! :P

Alright, someone do the math and figure out how many cycle per minute(hour) the note 57 octaves below middle C equates to(I'd probably bung it up if I tried). What a mind blower!

Wouldn't the frequency be (roughly) 440/(2^57)?

3.05 X 10^-15......ish?

Actually, he gave the pitch for A an octave higher, not the Bb in question. The Bb would be:

440 times 2^1/12 times 2^-58, since reference A is in the octave above middle C.

Another way of putting it:

440(@1.0594631) divided by 2^58

or about 1.6 times 10^-15

CH,
what are you playing now? It seems like you sold off and went through just about everything :D
What the heck, get a Gronitz 6/4, might be a little heavy for some of the rep , maybe add a 4/4 Gronitz to the mix then. Both are great horns. Or maybe the new Baer or thor.
Ha ha,
have fun,
I'm sure you're just having fun fishing, but ehhhhhh,
