My tuba quartet has just been asked to lead a parade (followed by a concert). We've never done a parade before. Does anyone know of any march sized parade (quartet) music that could be suitable for our use? Thanks, as always!

I would think that Dixieland would as well...
(improv is always fun, and doesn't need folders!)

... and have you tried reading just straight ahead marches? Melody is often in trumpets/trombone, horn backtime, and tuba bass. You might be able to borrow some from a local school to try out.

Get Tucker Jolly's "TUBASUMMER" music from him. Right size, many pieces should work. And don't forget that any suitable music can be reduced to work. Kinko's can help!

Miraphone had a set of nice tuba quartet books for sale (I think that you can still buy them). If I remember correctly these books were from the Tubadors. They were nice arrangements of tunes that people know well and are good for outdoor jobs. Also, they were published in the march sized format.
