Gurggly

Ok im pretty sure this has been posted, but I got too much from the search. How can I eliminate the slight, rough, garggle sound at the beginning of all my notes? Its annoyin. Do I just need more air? Whats wrong with my attack.

If I understand your issue correctly... I had the same issue when stepping up from a 51D (25.5mm) to SM4 (26mm) mouthpiece. It was difficult to always get a nice clean articulation.

My solution was: practice, practice, practice. It took months, but I like the sound of the SM4 much better than the 51D.

Ok, just practicing the attack then! I noticed it when I recorded myself sight reading (Carnival of Venice hehe)...but thats probably because I was not even paying attention to attacks
