You might be a little too late for theme parks, but it never hurts to try....

Busch Gardens is set this summer, unfortunately, but I believe Hersheypark might be a good place to look. Try their website and I'm sure you'll be able to find information to further your search.

Good Luck!

If you can play Trad Jazz /Dixieland or some other popular style without charts and can find a banjo or guitar player (accordian works too) and a trumpet or reed or trombone player who knows these tunes you can go to a well traveled section in a city or mall and play for the passersby with a case out. Depending on your area you may need some kind of permit which is generally not too expensive.

We've been doing this in Portland, Maine in the summer and fall for over 10 years about twice a week depending on weather. You won't get rich but your playing (and ensemble listening) will be greatly improved and the exposure can lead to gigs if you are all part of a larger band.

If you are in a small band you can even take the whole band out to a city park or similar site and put on impromptu concerts with the case out. We did this for many years up until about 5 years when the city "improved" the park we were using.

Playing for free at city park concerts and fund raisers for charity can generate many new friends and with a big crowd, lots-o-cd sales.
