If you are referring to the Daryl Smith horn, I have owned one for nearly 3 years. It is a decent all-around horn, suitable for small-midsize ensemble playing, as well as some solo work. Not bad for the money, especially if it's a choice for a first CC Horn. It is my first CC horn, and I think that I have grown quite a bit in the 3 years I have been playing it. Try one out before you buy, but don’t' make it the only one.

I'm referring to the smaller 3/4 size 4 valve.I've owned several CC's over the years and am just curious about this horn and it's potential as a quintet horn.

Better options
There are better options for a good quintet CC for a better price. Like that Miraphone 184 CC that somebody on this board is trying to sell . . .
