This statement alone would make me suspect. The "German York/York Master" instruments never bore the "J.W. York and Sons" escutcheon and, while decent enough, were nothing like the old Grand Rapids Yorks. Some models of the York Master tubas were perfectly dreadful.Stauff wrote:Meister Walter Nirschl is Walter's Geretsried tubas and euphoniums.
