I read somewere that Tommy Johnson won about 10 acadamy awards(or something like that) for most valuable instrumentalist and tubist before they gave him a speicial award so he couldnt win it again

I'd second that - When the Royal Philharmonic in London got into Film scores and other money making ventures which were new at the time, Pat was resident tubist - he's been with the London Symphony for some time now and they have done a lot of work on John Williams film scores.

It was good to see Pat on the telly the other night, the LSO were on doing a live Prom from the Royal Albert Hall in London - Les Francs Juges was on with Elgar Symph No 2.
