Just wondering: If a really large tuba is a BAT, would a really large mouthpiece be a BAM?

Yes. Random thoughts................

helicon -A large spiral brass tuba that fits around the player's shoulder.
[Probably from Greek helix, helik-, spiral.]

....either that or it's a tuba that can take off without a runway

NO. A really large mouthpiece is referred to as a toilet bowl.

Certainly EITHER is preferable to saying, "There's a BAT in my Toilet Bowl"...

Gives some Tubist-jokes a whole new twist:

Two tubists walk past (with, into, ...) a BAR...
How many tubists can you fit into a BAR...
...

Apart from that, what is a candy- or chocolate-BAR covered with ?
Which BAR is better for DIXIE-use, noisette or almond?

If one were editing Webster's or the Oxford Dictionary of English and adding the entry "BAT," would the etymology truly be attributed to the TubeNet BBS?
