Early Tuba Solos Wanted

I have been working on a project involving the early tuba solos. I am currently focusing on two areas: (1) turn of the 20th century solos and (2) those composed/arranged in (or about) the 1930s. So far I have assembled over 20 typed pages of information. I am interesed in obtaining both tuba and piano accompaniment parts (as well as band accompaniment parts to pieces that have them). The solos I would like to obtain are as follows (all published by Carl Fischer, Inc.): (1) Happy Thoughts, (2) Pride of America, (3) The Two Old Maids, (4) Tempesta, (5) Spring's Awakening, (6) Elephantine, (7) Am Neckar, (8) Happy Be Thy Dreams, (9) Down in the Deep Cellar, (10) Billy Blowhard, and (11) The Village Blacksmith. Those contributing materials will be acknowledged and will also receive a spiral-bound copy of my research. (Thanks to several of you who have already contributed materials). Please email me privately. Thank you. Steve Shoop, 507 S.W. Main St., Ennis, Texas, 75119. stephen_shoop@yahoo.com

Stephen,

I believe I may have a couple of the solos you are looking for with band accompaniment. Are you wanting the originals, or will copies suffice? Since they are no longer in print, I want to keep the originals. I might consider loaning them to you temporarily, we can discuss that.

Let me know,

Tim

I have piano and band acc. for Solo Pomposo and Beelzebub, and can send you copies as well. Let me know if you're interested.

Stephen,

I are too stoopid to read your whole posting. An email is on the way.
