If you want to move this, go ahead but I have a question about auditioning seeing the time has come around. Where is the balance in an audition. For example, a scale of mine is set at eight notes, quarter=120 bpm or faster , slurred which is quite slow. I can take it about around 140-150 really comfortably and play it just fine, but I can also play it not bad at 200+. At this rate, you pretty much have to slow the tape down to hear each individual note. Is this too much of a mess or will the speed matter that much to them?????? I know your not psychics but you could give it a try . (BTW that was just my example)

Do whatever is called for on the list. Play with the most beautiful sound you have and always think music.

Faster is not always better. I would prefer to hear the scale at 120 then 200 because pitch, sound, articulation, release, eveness of sound, etc are easier to hear as a judge. The 200+ scales are neat tricks but convey little more than the ability to double tongue and wiggle valves.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
