Were this not marred by the presence of screaming children, I'd say this was the coolest thing ever.

I work at a museum that had Seasame Street as one of the traveling exhibits. That video is sweet. At first I ddn't like the kids either but after the 100th time you see it, you disregard the kids and enjoy the groove the HW lays down.

Any idea on the tuba/bell? That's a very huge taper on the bell.

HoJo was great.

JT was his signature self.

If you think those kids detracted from a "kid's song" in any way and didn't do a pretty good job, then you need to spend about 5 seconds in any general music class in the country to appreciate the job they did.
I agree.
Further, I would rather have genuine racous out-of-tune singing than the "canned," dubbed, professional, pitch corrected, over processed singing that is used on the more modern shows like Barney. I would cringe every time I heard it - it sounded so unnatural.

Question: Did J.T. play that song in E because he is a big star or did he want to make the kids stretch out vocally?
He would probably record that tune in that key, I reckon.
Mr. Johnson probably was fine with that key-nor was he surprised.
My old Eb King has surprisingly good intonation in E. :D
