Last Saturday, the Lira Açoriana Wind Band, played my new work: Archipelago.
Its a symphonic poem devided in two main parts: one, where I explore some non standard thecnics to imitate some sounds of nature tipical of Azores. The second part is a more conventional music in three sections, Adagio/Allegro/Maestoso, that symbolizes the humanity.
You can hear it at http://www.anteroavila.com.
It was recorded by Lira Açoriana conducted by António Melo.
Kind Regards
Antero
