South Florida Repairs

Post by jasonkoi »

Hey all,

Being new to the south florida area, I have no idea where to take my horn for repairs and I'm having a really hard time getting any recommendations from the people i know down here. Any suggestions?

You might ask Phil at Rugs 'n' Relics;
phil@rugs-n-relics.com
He's located in St. Pete's Florida, although I think he might send his horns out to someone out of State...

"All County Music" in Tamarac, FL (N. of Miami) does a good job. Although I haven't had work done there myself, a good friend of mine had his euph repaired after it fell off his lap :shock: and a tubist friend had his tuba repaired after the airlines trashed it on a trip back from Russia two years ago. Numerous other brass players have had routine work done there like cleaning, and valve port alignment.

I think this is still a good phone number:
  • 954-722-3424
Miraphone 5050 - Warburton BJ/RF mpc
YEP-641S (recently sold), DE mpc (102 rim; I-cup; I-9 shank)
Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches:
"Always play with a good tone, never louder than lovely, never softer than supported." - author unknown.

It was suggested that I use Tom when I was having trouble with my valves my senior year at USF....I was told he lived in Naples by that unforeseen teacher you have now ...simple mistake. But all this aside, I've heard he's great and I would check him out if your in the South Florida area. I didn't go see him because the valves mysterously got better. Thanks Tim for the upgrade in information!
