I have heard that this is no longer under copyright protection. Is that true, and, more importantly, does anybody have a copy of this newly public domain tuba part they could send me?

Bill, I assume you're talking about Ravel orchestration of 1922 and not the 1883 published piano version (which is definitely PD).

AFAIK, the first published version of the 1922 Ravel was done in 1929, which does not make it public domain.

I have the CD, and it's not on there.

I have the U.S. version of the CD and it is on there. I know that Cherry has issued an update, may be it was part of that.
