They are both listed as 5/4, but has anybody played these horns back to back?

Any comments?

sorry -- not back to back. But the low register of the Thor is exceptionally "weighty". Having a powerful, low register sound seems to be the design goal for this tuba. I'd say they accomplished their goal.

Very impressed,

True, but I hope this doesn't turn into another 2000 vs. 2155 discussion.

I would say, having played all above mentioned horns that the Thor is quite a different beast from the MW 2155/2000 both in sound and playing characteristics. I find it difficult to really compare them to one another as far as better/worst. But then again, that is my opinion and I could be wrong.

Size-wise, how does Thor compare to the 2155? The 2155 always seemed to me like a big-ish 4/4. Is Thor comparable? Or more on the big side?
