What a great idea! Have you contacted a local TV and/or radio station? They might be willing to help with the venue and publicity. Good luck - keep us posted on how it's going.

tubalawlisa, this is the sort of thing many of us are very interested in.
Tubas for charity is good for us and for the good causes. Some of these charity festivals pull huge crowds and give entertainers who play for free, an opportunity to sell lots-o-c.d.s.
I would love to come to Ohio but my schedule (I am supposed to be retired) doesn't have such a break.
Could I donate a c.d. that you guys could play through the p.a. system during breaks in the activities? It's us Creekers playing tuba, guitar and harmonica. Happy music.
If this would help, please p.m. me an address where I can send you one.

I think I remember hearing about Mr. Phillips doing something like this at NEC a long time ago.

Run with it.

We did a similar thing at my undergrad school, but the purpose was to raise money for the studio... we called it a duet-a-thon. I think they still do it.

We had duets and trios non-stop in the lobby of our concert hall for 48 hours, taking shifts of course. Got kinda silly at 4am...
