Deanna Swoboda ROCKS!!!

Post by Chuck Jackson »

I just had the very good fortune of hearing and interviewing Deanna Swoboda for her broadcast tomorrow. Let me just put it this way, the young lady is an astounding musician who just so happens to play the tuba. Her playing was flawless and as musically satisfying as anything I have heard live in a long time. I won't give away her program, you'll have to listen and be as amazed as I was. Her program airs tomorrow at 1 PM PST and can be heard on classical897.org through the miracle of streaming audio, If you are in the area it's on Classical 89.7 KCNV Las Vegas. The pleasure was all mine, please be sure to listen!!!

Likewise. Very nice!

I'm all nicely inspired! Very goodwarm up for my lesson tonight!

Now, why is it that all male announcers on Public Radio all seem to have a similar style a voice? You know - a bit deep, kinda smooth - the exact opposite of a top 40 DJ.

I set up my miniDV camcorder with a tap off the PC sound card,
and recording the Deanna Swoboda program while I was at work. I am listening to it now, WOW she has amazing control
in the upper range!
Very inspiring to a humble amatuer like me. :)

Wins a five valve rating for fine Public Radio Broadcasting!
