Dear All,

Cimarron Music Press is proud to release many new pieces for Tuba Solo or Tuba Quartet (the full listing of new releases can be found in the sponsor section).

Before I list them all out, I want to give some of the pieces some special attention:

If you happen to be out in Denver for ITEC and heard the Gene Pokorny masterclass, you were probably blown away by his playing. I know I was! The one piece that really knocked my socks off was the transciption of a Bach piece (I believe by Tommy Johnson?). While there, I also picked up a CD of Jozsef Bazinka the 3 Bach Viola da Gamba Sonatas. I decided we (the tuba world) needed to have this set in our literature. So I sat down and got to work, and work, and work. They are really long! They are now finally done and work well on C or F Tuba. I am sure Bb, Eb, etc., but I know C and F the best... They are avilable as a set or individually.

The other solo Tuba and Piano pieces were composed by Barbara York. If you heard either John Griffiths or Don Harry play in Denver, then you heard Barbara's pieces. Don will be performing the Concerto later this month in a recital. Barbara is a very lyrical and tonal writer. The pieces are challenging and will work on both C and F tuba.

For all of the pieces below, we have samples posted. Please don't hesitate to email me if you would like more information, have questions, etc.

Like one of my last posts, if you made it this far I think you deserve a medal or something similar!

Thanks for listening and I wish everyone a happy and healthy rest of the year.
