I wonder how the copyright folks feel about these things! At that price, perhaps a license is included!

I went to a Barbara Steisand concsrt in Atlanta last week and several of the players were using these. I wondered how some could be using the old fashioned printed parts and some not. Now I know. By the way only the keyboards and some of the strings were electronic. The brass and ww's were turning. Does anyone know who the Bass Trombone/Tuba guy is in her tour band? That's probably another post.

The Westwind Brass Quintet uses electronic stands with all there music in them. Here is a link to there site with a picture of the stand. Also, I believe Harry Conick Jr.'s Band plays with these stand as well.

You know, every once in awhile, some careless person will pass by my stand while I'm not around and knock my music to the floor. It happens and doesn't make me anything more than slightly irritated, as long as they retrieve the music and put it back on my stand. Stuff happens.

OTOH, I'd really be peeved if one of these gizmos fell to the floor.

I've got a friend who's playing with "electronic paper"--a plastic substrate that displays print that one can roll up like real paper. Maybe I'll hold off on the electronics until this one comes along.
