"Sunrise" was originally just another popular song. It's best known as a banjo feature (4 string tenor or plectrum). The band version is killer, at least by the time it gets close to wrapping up and the baritonal effects kick in.

I've never played the band version, but I have played this as a solo on the Hohner #267 Chord Harmonica (24" long harmonica)....pretty simple melody, but in the key of D, the Major 3 chord (III) to V7/vi progression is very flashy on the instrument because the III is at the extreme left end of the 24" harmonica, and the V7/vi is at the extreme right end.
Okay back to tuba....does anybody have a copy of the euphonium solo?
