Empire Brass in Japan CD

Post by Jason Arnold »

Hello to all,
If you are as big a fan of Empire Brass as I am then you will be thrilled to know that last week a cd was put up on Itunes. This CD was recorded live in Japan in 1986. It includes the first movement of the Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto with Quartet Accomp. The Stars and Stripes Forever (with Sam on the picc solo) as well as many others. Wow! What a group. In my opinion there is no better brass quintet. I just wish the original line up could have stayed together. But in any case this is like getting a new Empire Brass cd. Enjoy and be inspired.

The temptation to quit will be greatest just before you succeed.
Regarding hard work; get tired. Good things happen on the other side of tired.

I picked this up on Itunes last week. If you have not heard it, is quite fantastic and tasty playing!

Cheap I believe as well? Around $10.00

I just picked this up at Itunes as well.

It's a nice album, but check out the clumsy edit in the Vaughan Williams at 2:31 or so.
