And ending up in Vegas, perhaps?

I strongly suggesting watching to the end... especially at the 4 minute mark for about 40 seconds.

Probably in the top 10 funniest things I've ever seen.

When the trumpet started playing I couldn't take it any more. I'll try again later.

Ok, you were right, that was funny. Did you notice at 3 min 24 sec he had to hike his pants up?

Well, some people say there isn't much difference between genius and insanity....

But I think this makes a strong case against such sayings...

So? It's a conductor... are you going to pretend that you've never been on the receiving end of this before!?

Also found this funny!

But then on a more technical note:

Isn’t it a general problem, that the youtube files are out of sync between video and audio?

I know the original post here was pointing in a different direction, as have the follow ups, but is anyone else impressed by the fact that this is a very large tuba/euphonium ensemble that has what seems to be a pretty large audience? The arrangements are a bit more complex than the typical TubaChristmas type of arrangments, and regardless of the energy/activity of the conductor, the group sounds pretty well rehearsed. There is a tubanews.com poster who lists himself as a member of this ensemble (on euphonium), so it seems this is a group which meets on a pretty regular basis. For many on this forum, the idea of euphonium/tuba ensembles even existing is taken for granted, but until not-so-long ago, these were just not around. That a group like this exists in Spain (not known on the world scene for a great deal of hard-core tuba-ing) is really cool, in my opinion. Thanks for letting the rest of us know about the video(s).

Easier to have audiences like that in Europe.

People in Europe enjoy classical oriented concerts a lot more than here is North America. I guess the "culture" of it is bigger there.

His point is valid. You can expect a larger audience in Europe. All music is more highly regarded there than here. Not to start a new thread, or rehash others, but we live in an infantile culture. Yes, yes, it was "Tequila" but there were lots of people there, and no light show!

Absolutley! I'd love to pull something together like that here. Like Tony G's TUBABAND!
