Dag-gone-it...I'm on the wrong end of the country for yours.

However, just got back from Tuba Christmas in Frederick Md.
Will post a thread on it to avoid hijacking. (our first)

Have a great time! 8)

[quote="Bob1062"]Mr. Self, what do you plan on playing? F sousa? The Fluba? A cimbasso?
I believe I know the answer to this question: "Anything he wants to play."
Just kidding. No telling what he may choose.

Since most of you don't live close enough to attend the L.A. Tuba Christmas and hear the pros in action, here is a taste of what we SoCal low brass players get to enjoy while we take a break and the 12 part ensemble that Jim Self puts together performs. Here are two of Jim's great arrangments. The sound quality is not the best since I was sitting 5 rows behind them on the stage, but it should give you a good idea.

The First Noel

Winter Wonderland

The Tubadours also performed and sounded great...
