Are you sure? The Revolution 52 that I bought is an absolute bath tuba in size. It make my G&W Bayamo look small. More than 3/8" deeper in fact, much wider at the rim and an even larger back bore. Plus the inner rim is very rounded, not sharp at all like my Conn Helleberg. Either your has been modified or mine has...

Either way I will be sending it up to Dan to have him fix it up to go along with my Holton 345. So he will tell me what the scoop is then.

I have tried the Revolution 52 that I have on several of my horns and it plays fairly well with a good sound but the cup is so wide that I am not sure I could get used to it. The rim needs to be smoothed out a little, so maybe after Dan cleans it up I'll give it a serious try on my Holton, when I get it back. I'll keep an eye out for a Revolution 50 as well. Maybe it will be just a little bit smaller.

Huh? My Revelation 52 has earned the nickname "woofmeister" in my collection. Try a PT-48 in your Holton for a while, and see if you don't prefer its greater color and clarity.
