Gravity to perform on Prairie Home Companion 12/9

I thought I would get the word out. Howard Johnson and Gravity will be musical guests on this weekend's (12/9) Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor - Live from Town Hall in NYC. I have it on good authority that one of the songs they are thinking about playing is "Natural Woman" with Velvet Brown playing the solo part. I've heard them play this and she sounds fantastic on this piece. I'd be there, but that is the same day as the TubaChristmas I'm the coordinator for.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'd hire a replacement coordinator this afternoon if I were you.

Even if you could hire a replacement coordinator, I'm afraid the show may be sold out. You can, though, always listen to it on the radio!

Not only will I be listening (our TC ends @ 4:30) but I'll also record it. I've got a CD writer hooked up to my receiver (for LP conversions) so I can easily do this. Velvet Brown also taped an interview with the local NPR affiliate but I haven't yet heard when it will air - I think Saturday morning. WPSU webcasts in case anyone is interested. I'll ask my boss, he volunteers there as a weekend "DJ", often on Sat. mornings
