Silver Horn Maintenance
How much additional maintenance does a silver tuba or euph require if one does not wear gloves while playing it?

Depends somewhat on your air quality. Cities tend to have more airborne sulfur and your horn will tarnish faster when it's out of the case.
As far as playing goes, wipe your horn down after playing (Windex works pretty well) and you shouldn't have any problems. Or not--and your horn can look slobber- and fingerprint stained just like mine.
