What a great site! Thanks.
On the Kodaly excerpt 2 recordings------check the Budapest Festival Orchestra's bass trombone/tuba sound---it is awesome.

Is there such a sight for tuba orchestral excerpts?

Is there a tuba version of this site? I would love to see this happen and would make one myself if I knew how to actually make a website.

I imagine that there is a LOT of work involved with taking the multiple recordings and editing to playback only the excerpt in question.
If someone were to supply the audio files as well as the jpegs of the excerpts, it's a relatively simple process to put together a website. So simple even I could do it.

I might be able to supply the excerpts jpegs. We have enough tubenetters to supply the recordings I'm sure and I could edit the recordings to play just the excerpts.
Actually, I would really like to try to start something up like this. I would like a partner in the area (I'm in northern New Jersey) to help with the more technical aspects of doing this (especially the actual website part) but I think we could help make this happen, so who's with me? I'll have much more free time next summer than I will before then to do this so give me some time.

Also remember that you will also need to obtain permissions from the copyright owners of the recordings. There may be some some charges involved - although hopefully they will give freely as advertising for their recordings.
But all the same, great idea!

I agree with Neptune. You might try to contact Seth Vatt the creator of the website. He is a graduate teaching assistant at Arizona State University where he is studying bass trombone. The following disclaimer was posted on his website regarding copyright law:
"According to Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Law, the content of this site falls within the boundaries of "fair use" because it is a non-profit, educational resource, and presents only a part of a whole regarding each recording and printed excerpt."
