I know we all say its true, but as a former trumpet form high school, when I pick up a trumpet and play everyonce and a while, I find this urge to take everything up an octave... 8)

When I pick up a trumpet, I am not at all tempted to take things up an octave. I have a pretty good top of the staff G, but when I go upward from there I lose the quality rather quickly. A high C is about the upper limit. Oddly enough, I can usually hit(OK, not a great note) that same note on my tuba.
