My almost 3-year-old grandson was visiting this Christmas and was very interested in all the horns around the house. First he tried the tuba:

A little large so he tried trumpet, fluegel horn and baritone before he settled on the soprano tuba (alto horn):

Darned if he didn't get a few notes out of them all! Give it a few years and he'll be posting here on Tubenet :-)

Congratulations Jim, he's a fine looking boy and he looks like he is much at ease and enjoys blowing brass horns.
I laminated a 5 by 7 photo of my then three year old grandson blowing the heck out of my old King with his eyes bugging out and use it to cover a bad spot on my forward-facing bell. That way I can show off his picture (I'm so proud of him) without whipping out wallet photos.
I ask him, "Who's that on my tuba?" He says, "Me, Poppy. I get to go everywhere you go."
