Does anyone own one of these yet? Any thoughts on the horn?

I played one of these a few days ago at Dillon Music, and really enjoyed it. What a nice sound, very German F tuba like in its quality, though still having a solid low register. If I knew how to play Eb tuba, I'd certainly consider one of these.

I had the opportunity to try one of these out on the floor of one of our conventions. I'd be more than glad to have one donated to me.

Any links telling about the price? Nationality or currency don’t matter. I will get an idea of the level anyway.

Here's a link to the Thomann website with some price info

Hope that helps Klaus.

Thanks, but after playing F tuba with the brass band here in Syracuse for the last 6 months, my brain is fried.
Now, back to trying to learn the Ellerby to play with them.

I spent quite a bit of time on the 283 orchestral model at ITEC, and was in the market for a do-all effer. It is a wonderful horn, but more like an F than the type of effer I wanted. Great tone, intonation - excellent in all regards. I own an all rounder efferm so I can't wait to try the solo version...
