From MMR Magazine:
Sonaré Winds Distributes York Brass in U.S.

Sonaré Winds is unveiling the York brass line at this year’s NAMM Show in Anaheim. The line consists of piston valve instruments that range from cornet to tuba.

Schreiber & Keilwerth is manufacturing the entire York brass line in Markneukirchen, Germany, at one of the most advanced wind instrument factories in Europe. Until now, components for brass instruments made in the United Kingdom were made in this factory. All components for York instruments will be made using historically correct tooling, the same tooling previously used to make Boosey & Hawkes instruments. Thus, musicians will once again be offered brass instruments with the famous British brass band sound.

Not to be confused with the York brass line, whose historically accurate tooling was once in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and then built by Carl Fischer in Germany with Boehm and Meinl.

Just took inventory of a batch of York T shirts yesterday - lots of XLs. Also added to the inventory the J.W. York and Sons trademark.

Very interesting!
