Andrew Bove's tuba

I just heard clips of the Extension Ensemble and Andrew Bove sounds just great! I was wondering if anybody knew what horn he's playing on? Some parts sound like an F tuba so I wasn't sure if he switched or his low notes are just fat.

Thanks for checking out our recording... and I do use both F and CC tuba in the quintet. We like the flexibility to tailor the group sound for different music. The other guys will also use different instruments on their parts for this same reason.

If you are curious about the instruments used on this recording specifically, the F tuba was used on tracks 6,7,15, and 16. I used a Meinl Weston 45SG F, and a Dillon/York CC.

If anyone would like a copy, I can sell you one through the quintet for just $10. Let me know if you want one. Thanks!
