Joe Miserendino

Post by Highams »

I have only recently discovered (due to lost emails) that my dear friend Joe Miserendino in Pennsylvania, has been diagnosed with aggressive lung cancer in the 4th. stage (both lungs).

He is currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy which is really sapping his energy of course.

To say this is the worst news is an understatement. We had so much fun back in May when he stayed with us on his trip to the UK, to hear his Willson Concertante in Covent Garden, London.

At the end of the recording (on his web page)

there is a huge cheer for him from the band, when conductor John Andrews got him up out of the audience to take a bow. He made so many friends that weekend.

Knowing Joe, he would not want a fuss made of this, and maybe not wish to see it detailed here. But with the enormous friendship this forum creates, I'm sure that the combined power of prayer from all his friends, can only be a positive thing.

James 5:16
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?
