I just wanted to let everyone know about my performance with the Indian Hill Sym Orchestra on Jan 28 at 3:00 PM at the Indian Hill Fine Arts Center.

Performing the Concerto for Euphonium: Swimming the Mountain by Allen Feinstein. Pre-concert lecture with conductor, soloist, and composer at 2:15.

More info at http://www.indianhillmusic.org/2_ClassicalSeries.html

A great opportunity to hear and support the programing of a euphonium on a subscription concert series.

Best wishes,

Hello All,

I'm subbing in the orchestra for this Indian Hill concert with Adam Frey, and it's going to be a fantastic program! I haven't heard the Feinstein Concerto with Adam yet, but we rehearsed the accompaniment tonight and it's a GREAT piece so far! I have no doubt that this will be an incredible piece with Adam performing it!

Adam posted the link for more information - you can also email me if you can't find something on the site mike@tubastudio.com .

From a personal perspective I think this is a GREAT thing for the euphonium AND the tuba. We're both part of the same family, and having a phenomenal euphonium soloist like Adam performing in front of a symphony orchestra is definitely a step in the right direction for both instruments. I teach both tuba and euphonium, and I constantly encourage my students to attend this type of event. Unfortunately this type of event doesn't happen often enough...YET!

Come if you can. I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

Sincerely,

Mike Milnarik
