Stencil named Hamonia or Harmony also. Despite its smallish bell, I would probably classify it as a 4/4 due to large throat and sound quality. Great solo and small to mid sized F tuba. Rotary F tuba (called German by some?) sound. Like most rotary F tubas, requires some degree of finesse to play. Can play delicately or get loud with out breaking up prematurely. More work to play than the 3/4 Yamaha F's that blow like small CC's, but it has that gorgeous F tuba sound the Yamahas just don't have. Intonation good once you become adjusted to the horn, and slide pulling virtually unnecessary with the 6 valves. Receiver is on the small side and standard shank mouthpiece sitcks out more than on other horns, but still OK without turning down. Does not have the "weighty" sound of the huge 6/4 F's, but many guys who buy them seem to wind up selling them later for something smaller within a year - check the for sale section. Some guys have used these Cervenys as quintet horns, but for the time being I am using my MW2145 in that capacity. If my CC was huge, I would probably make it work in quintet.
