A friend of mine has a new book about Moog which has a lot of info on Walter Sear. It seems like he has done everything. He would be a fascinating topic for a biography of his own.
I noticed that Wikipedia doesn't have an entry on Walter. On this board I've seen former students and others who knew Walter from his tuba store days. Everyone has a different story about him and is able to illuminate different aspects of his life. These disparate strands of info are what wikipedia is best for - group authorship. In addition he would be the missing hyperlink between B movies, moogs, Cerveny, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and Sonic Youth. Would some of you like to piece together an entry for him?

Here is a rudimentary beginning page.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Sear
Please fill in dates, more info on the tubas, compositions, etc. Somebody also should write an entry on Cerveny, as it is historically as important as any brass manufacturer.
